This November, Grandmaster Sam F.S. Chin returns to Europe, and I’m delighted to invite you to a special two-day master class in Ljubljana, Slovenia.

ONE POINT REFERENCE FOR ALL MOVEMENT

What do martial arts, tai chi, dance, yoga, sports, and other movement disciplines have in common?

Beneath their different forms and techniques lies the same human body, governed by the same principles of biomechanics, balance, structure, pressure, and force.

In this two-day master class, we will explore the concept of One Point Reference through the unique approach of I Liq Chuan — a system that uses unified movement and partner interaction to investigate these fundamental principles directly through experience.

Rather than focusing on techniques or choreographed forms, we will work with the underlying mechanics that make movement more connected and stable. We’ll explore how alignment, balance, spiraling, and the relationship between the body and the ground influence the way we move, generate force, and respond to changing conditions.

These principles are not exclusive to any one discipline. They offer a common ground for understanding human movement, whether your background is in martial arts, dance, somatic practices, sports, or simply a personal interest in moving with greater awareness and flow.

No particular movement background is required — curiosity and a willingness to explore are enough.
